Get There Oregon partners are hosting spring competitions across the state to celebrate Bike Month in May and Transit Month in June! Get ready to roll and ride while competing with your community for bragging rights and fun prizes using Get There Connect (find the app on the Google Play and Apple App Stores).

Bike Month Events

May is bike month! There are many ways you can get involved with Bike Month this year, including by joining one of the Bike Month Challenges or events in Oregon.

Even if your region does not have a Challenge, you can still join in by logging trips on your bike and earning “Commute Perk” rewards in Get There Connect! Learn more about how to sign up and earn rewards here and find resources and tips for biking here.

May Walk and Roll Challenge

Commute Options is excited to announce the return of the May Walk and Roll Challenge, happening May 4–17! Log your walk and roll trips in Get There Connect(remember—walking or rolling to the bus counts, too!) for a chance to win great prizes.

Open to everyone in Central and Eastern Oregon, this challenge celebrates healthier, more sustainable ways to get around. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to the store, or just getting outside. Every trip counts!

Here’s how to take part:

  1. Sign-up or log in to your Get There Connect account
  2. Log all of your walk and roll trips between May 4 and May 17th
  3. Log at least 4 trips during the two week challenge to be entered into a random prize drawing to win gift cards from amazing local businesses!

Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge

The Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge is open to anyone living or working in the Metro region. Starting May 1, participants can log bike trips in their free Get There Connect account to qualify for random prizes and bragging rights of being the Team or Individual Bike Month Champions!

Here’s how you can join in on the fun:

  1. Sign-up or log in to your free Get There Connect account and make sure you are part of the Portland Metro Region network.
  2. From your home screen, click the Challenges button and select the Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge.
  3. Join or create a team to compete with a group (a club, group of friends, neighbors, you name it!). Your team will be the group you compete with!
  4. Each full week in May, log bike trips for commuting, running errands, or simply exploring your neighborhood to be entered for weekly prize drawings, a grand prize drawing, and compete for the title of Team Bike Month Champions!

Wilsonville Wellness Community Bike Ride

Celebrate Bike Month with the Wilsonville Wellness Ride! This relaxed community bike ride is a chance to get active, reconnect with your bike, and community while participating in Wilsonville’s growing cycling culture.

Whether you’re a regular rider or just getting back on your bike, this ride is a great way to celebrate Bike Month and experience the many ways biking supports a healthy individual and vibrant community.

  • Location: Wilsonville City Hall (29799 Town Center Loop E, Wilsonville, OR 97070)
  • Date and Time: Wednesday, May 13th
  • Meet at 5:30 pm | Depart at 6:00 pm

This ride is family-friendly.  All are welcome. Helmets required.

Go By Bike Month Challenge

Hosted by Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD)

RVTD’s Go By Bike Month Challenge is back for 2026! There are multiple ways to participate and qualify for prizes throughout the month:

  • Log bike trips using a free Get There Connect account throughout the month. If you log at least 10 bike trips in May, you’re automatically entered to win one of several great prizes. Stay tuned for prize details!
  • Pledge to replace at least one car trip with a bike trip during the Challenge for a chance to win a prize.
  • Play Bike Bingo all month long and turn in your card for a chance to be entered to win a gift card from one of the sponsors.

Southwest Washington Bike Month Challenge

Hosted by Get There SW Washington, the City of Vancouver, and the Clark County Commute Trip Reduction Program
The 2026 Southwest Washington Bike Month Challenge is open to anyone living or working in Clark, Skamania, and Klickitat counties, and logging any bike (or e-bike!) trip on GetThereSWWashington.org whether for commuting, errands or just for fun! Starting May 1, Get There users can log bike trips to qualify for random weekly prize drawings, grand prize drawings, and to hold the title of Team or Individual Bike Month Champions.  Join your work team or form your own to compete, have fun, and win prizes.

How to participate

  1. If you are not already a Get There user – registration is quick and easy. Visit GetThereSWWashington.org to get started.
  2. Join a network for your workplace or form a network to compete with a group (a club, friends, neighbors). Your network will be the Team you compete with. If you need us to create a network for you, email [email protected] and we will create one for you.
  3. Each week in May, log bike trip to be entered in weekly prize drawings, a grand prize drawing at the end of the month, and compete for the title of Team or Individual Bike Month Champions!

Transit Month Events

June is Transit Month! Celebrate by exploring your community and making trips on public transit all month long.

TriMet Transit Month Challenge

TriMet’s June Transit Month Challenge is returning for 2026! The Challenge is open to residents of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties who log at least one transit trip in using Get There Connect between June 1 – June 30, 2026.

Here’s how to join in and compete for prizes and receive a special participation badge your Get There Connect account:

  1. Sign-up or log in to your free Get There Connect account.
  2. Each week in June, log a transit trip taken on TriMet buses, MAX Light Rail, Wes Commuter Rail, Portland Streetcar and SMART to be entered in a weekly prize drawing.
  3. Log a transit trip each full week of the challenge to be eligible for a grand prize at the end of the challenge.

Ride Transit Month Challenge

Hosted by Get There SW Washington, the City of Vancouver, C-TRAN and the Clark County Commute Trip Reduction Program

C-TRAN and Get There Southwest Washington bring you the Ride Transit Month Challenge! To participate in the challenge, create or log in to your free account at GetThereSWWashington.org and log your transit trips from June 1 to June 30, 2026. After logging a trip, you will automatically be entered in a prize raffle.

Taking part in the challenge is easy:

  1. Create or log in to your free account at GetThereSWWashington.org
  2. Each week in June, log a transit trip to be entered in a weekly prize drawing
  3. Log a transit trip each full week of the challenge to be eligible for a grand prize at the end of the challenge.
