Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge FAQs
The 2026 Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge is the greater Portland area’s challenge to help make Oregon a better place to live, work, and play. We are encouraging residents to use a bike for more trips during May for the chance to win prizes and compete against other teams.
The 2026 Portland Metro Bike Month Challenge will start on May 1 and end on May 30, to celebrate National Bike Month. Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more folks to try biking.
