Local Emergency Ride Home Programs Give You Peace of Mind
When you bike, bus, carpool, vanpool, or walk to work, you may be covered with a free ride home in the case of an emergency.
Emergency Ride Home (ERH) programs provide a safety net for commuters traveling to work using transportation options by covering the cost of a ride home when an unexpected emergency prevents you from using your normal commute home. With an Emergency Ride Home benefit, you can choose sustainable transportation options with greater peace of mind.
What is an Emergency Ride Home program?
Emergency Ride Home programs provide reimbursement or a voucher for a free ride home, often through a taxi service or ride share provider, in the event of a qualifying emergency that prevents you from using your planned commute options.
How do I join an Emergency Ride Home program?
There is no statewide ERH program, but ERH is available in many parts of Oregon through local organizations and employers.
Check with your Regional Partner for your community provider for information about programs in your region or email us at [email protected] and we’ll connect you with the right person.
